It is official. The highlight of this trip was the village. I do not know how ziplines, rafting, and caves can get beat by no hot water and very simple living quarters but they did. We take student groups almost always to the village but we have seen how much the parents of the students enjoy it also. That is why we are offering in our Costa Rica Vacation Packages the chance to visit the village or even stay for a few nights! The village put on a show that was amazing. The Ridgefield kids did an excellent job in acting as if they had been here for a month. Everyone showed up to the party with their homestay families and it was dance, food, and music till around 9pm. There is a young artist in the community and she paints scenes from Costa Rica. We presented Mrs Roth with one and as I announced this was the first time doing this as we were very impressed with all that has been done for this trip. When the kids get home expect to see some Itunes of salsa music. They are all naturals and of course Jeremy took the stage with some break-dancing moves which the whole village loved. I want to apologize I do not have the chip with the pictures it is in the bus and will get to it later so I just posted one of the pictures of the girls that did the local dance at the school yesterday. But I promise to post after the rafting. It is a beautiful sunny day. Just the perfect morning to be heading to raft one of the most scenic rivers on the planet. Pictures will do no justice for the river but I will try my best. Have a great day and do not forget if you are interested in your family attending a Costa Rica Adventure let us know!
